The Three-Cup Shell Game for Dogs

Your dog has to watch, remember and then use their nose to check. It's a great focus builder before walks.

You need

• Three plastic cups (non-breakable)
• Smelly treats

How to play

1. Show your dog a treat and place one cup over it.
2. When your dog nudges or paws the cup, lift it and let them eat.
3. Add a second empty cup. Let your dog choose; reward the right choice.
4. Add the third cup.
5. Slowly slide the cups around before letting your dog choose.

Make it harder

• Move cups faster
• Make your dog wait a few seconds before choosing
• Use cups that are all the same colour

Safety

Use sturdy plastic cups, not glass. Stop if your dog starts chewing the cups.
